How Does A Steam Vacuum Cleaner Work?

By Paul On February 2, 2011 Under Why & How to choose a steam vacuum cleaner

Purchasing latest models of bucket and mop is what many think is a prime solution to ultimate cleaning, but is this true? I don’t think so because its labor intensive, and also steam vacuum cleaners are the best.

Basic vacuum cleaners may seem a good option, but they do not impart removal of hard stains and bad odor from the carpet. It uses hot boiling water rather than the vapor that steam vacuum cleaners use.

In today’s living conditions we are faced with many unhygienic environments, from your living rooms, bed rooms, toilets up to your kitchen germs are everywhere invisible. Steam vacuum cleaners are now widely known for killing all kinds of bacteria by its applicable use of mist.

This appliance uses two conventional mechanisms in a single device: low pressure and high temperature which makes steam to expand explosively on contact with the surface loosening dirt, grime and stubborn stain and further kills microorganisms.

The above method of cleaning does not require other chemical detergent to be added, this is because it uses a liquid based cleaning solvent which vaporizes at much higher temperature (240°F and above). The steam cleaner injects the cleaning solution in the carpet which then compels the dirt to come up in the surface at which point the extractor sucks it up with the use of high pressured air.

The beauty of steam vacuum cleaner is that it leaves the stained area dry. You don’t have to think of getting the carpet out for it to dry. In bare facts, cleaning with this device is much like washing your clothes with a washing machine- washing them without waiting for them to dry up. Another pro comes to allergic people; it won’t be so irritating when disposing off the dirt since you will be dealing with muddy water.

Remember to read the directions provided on the machine. This should be a first hand precaution before you even start cleaning, reason being exposing your carpet to high temperatures might ruin the fibers. So, pay attention to the machine’s heat regulation directions for different surfaces in the home surrounding.

It’s about time that you pull yourself from the distant bucket and mop users, and get into the new language of steam vacuum cleaners. I am sure your cleaning experience will never be the same again.
